Plastic Found in Arctic Sea Ice

The plastic industry has done a respectable job of promoting the recycling of its products and containers.  The industry is also working hard at coming up with a truly earth-friendly package that doesn’t just have a delayed trip to the landfill. In the meantime, record amounts of plastic are showing up in the ocean, and now, in record amounts of tiny fragments in the Arctic – perceived as vast and pristine. The video below shows core sampling producing evidence of plastic particles two to three times what has be previously recorded.

It is not our intention to bash a competitive product.  We have the most recyclable material and packaging – steel cans.  We need to do a better job of educating consumers about the infinitely life cycle of the steel can that fits perfectly within a circular economy.
